Why the World Teachers’ Parliament?

In the realm of education, our shared mission is to cultivate a brighter, more equitable future for all of our children and young adults. The World Teacher’s Parliament aims to be the epicentre of this transformative dialogue, where we discuss innovative educational solutions to some of the greatest global educational issues and share good practice to inform change. We recognize that education is the cornerstone of progress, and it is through collective action that we can address the pressing issues affecting learners locally, nationally and internationally.

 

Project Team

My name is Miriam Afonso and as a seasoned education advocate, my passion for inclusive education makes me very privileged to have been invited as the project leader for this initiative that International Association for Quality Education have mastered to put together. Alongside me, we have an exceptional team of Project Coordinators from diverse corners of the world— Ms Micaela Ventura from India, Ms Shewar from Nepal, Ms Shambwai from Sri Lanka, and Mr Safiq from Bangladesh —each contributing their unique perspectives and expertise as world educational leaders.

In our endeavors to shape the future of education, The World Teacher’s Parliament is committed to addressing pivotal issues that resonate across classrooms worldwide. Our agenda encapsulates the very essence of transformative education, delving into various pillars that define our collective responsibility.

Consequently, you will find that some of the topics for discussion will be around green education, special educational needs, quality of education, the role of technology and artificial intelligence in education, and many more.
